Type

  • Video of front view, side view, rear view and walk
  • Present animals as you would for the show ring.  Video should be taken horizontally (landscape mode).  Take video in well-lit area.  Try to reduce as many shadows and glares as possible.  Make sure animal is not standing in tall grass or deep shavings etc.  Video should not be altered or edited.  4-H member should be in the video of the animal and should also be dressed appropriately for the show ring.

Showmanship

  • Image, Video (2-3 minutes) or PowerPoint presentation (5 slides or less) of youth setting animal up
  • Image, video, or presentation should show youth showing the animal.  Purpose of the content if for the youth to share the message of what they have learned about their project and the industry represented.

Division Rules

  • No bucks allowed
  • No horned dairy or pygmy goats allowed.  4-H meat goats may have horns.
  • Cloverbuds may enter pygmy or miniature dairy goat of any age.
  • Judge has the right to combine classes but each animal will be judged by their own breed standards.
  • Judges decisions are final.
